Kobe: Divac knew how to put on show
The game was pretty boring, but for multiple reasons it was worth being in the Staples Center on the last day of January. First of all, the arena is absolutely breath-taking – a space ship compared to LA Lakers’ old home, The Forum, from where I reported from the Olympic basketball tournament back in 1984. Seven years later I was there for the NBA finals between Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers during what was Vlade Divac’s second season with the Los Angeles franchise.
